When Tile reached out to me about a collaboration I was so excited. Their product is a genius idea and I really wanted to try it. They sent over some samples and I can think of so many people who could benefit from this product. So here's what it is.
Tile is a bluetooth tracker that can help you keep track of your keys, wallet, iPad, purse, and more. The product works with an app that you can download from free from the app store. You use the app to activate your tile and then you can start using it. It was really quick and simple to get it working.
Tile keeps track of your things in a few ways. On the app, you can click on the device you are trying to find which you have the Tile attached to and hit find. The Tile will start ringing this cute little tone and the screen will tell you how close you are to it. There is also a map on the app which can show you where the device is, so if you left it in a different building and are way too far to hear the ringtone, you can use the map to find it.
What I also really like is that Tile works both ways....if you need to find your phone, just double click on your Tile and it will ring your phone! This is perfect for me when I have my keys in my hand and I'm headed out and think "Oh shoot do I have my phone", I can easily just tap twice and then locate my phone in my purse or go back to grab it if I left it.
As you can imagine there are a lot of ways you could use Tile. I think especially as college students on these huge campuses, it is so easy to misplace things. I have had lots of friends lose their keys, or ID swipes, or wallets and this could really help them.
