If there is one thing I love.... it's wine! Visiting a winery is the perfect day trip for me and the perfect date. We headed to Linganore Winery, located in Federick County Maryland for a private tasting and afternoon among the vines. I've visited this winery for my 21st birthday and I loved the experience and the wine so I was so excited to go back.
The Tasting
As we arrived to the winery, we were brought to our table for our private tasting. Luckily, we were the only tasting occurring at that time so we had the area to ourselves which made it even more romantic. At Linganore, you can choose which tasting you would like: Reserve, Blended and Sweet. We had the reserve wines consisting of 3 white, 1 rose, and 5 red dry wine tastings. I typically drink sweet wines, but both my date and I were hoping to expand our pallets and tried this dry tasting. I was really surprised at how much I loved the wines. We also had a charcuterie board which was so delicious and paired so well with the wines.
The Outfit
Let's get into the outfit. When I think about an outfit for a winery, I think long flowy dress and something colorful! I recently found this beautiful dress at Ross and I knew this was a find to truly Dress for Less!
I paired this gorgeous yellow dress with a purse and earrings from T's Closet in this in this gorgeous print. I usually don't wear earrings this big but I am trying to continue to step out of my comfort zone with my fashion and I am so glad I went with these. T's Closet, located in Sint Marteen, is my aunt's boutique with some of my favorite clothes and she also has amazing accessories like these that are the perfect final touch on a outfit.
Overall, I had an amazing time at the Linganore Winery. I loved tasting the wines and enjoying a bottle of Seventh: a soft fruit-forward rose in the gorgeous afternoon weather. I love being able to have a day without work or stress and to just enjoy good conversations and some amazing wine. I can't wait to go back!
