Styling Pom Poms, Blazers, and more

Hello my lovely readers, how are you? I hope you've been doing well!

So I've been loving Instagram reels lately! It is no surprise that Instagram is my favorite app and at first I wasn't really feeling Reels and all the new changes, but then I realized using Reels was a great way to change up my content! During the semester, I get very caught up with my classes but my joy forever lies in fashion and emphasizing my style, so it has been great to share some of my favorite outfits.

Be sure to check out my reels and let me know what you think by commenting what your favorite outfit is! Today I want to share my personal favorite outfit from the week:

Pom Pom

Doesn't this outfit say Happy Friday?! This is the kind of cute and fun outfit that makes me feel really happy and ready for the weekend.

I got this sweater from Forever 21 about 3 years ago, honestly, I haven't gone shopping in years so a lot of my clothes are from this shopping spree I did freshmen year of college and then one item every now and again. I was thinking of treating myself to some new clothes - but then all my money has gone towards MCAT prep, maybe after graduation!

Anyways, I thought this sweater was super cute and such a statement, but I didn't wear it too much. This past week I saw it in my closet and thought "why not!" - I've learned that the more carefree you are with your style, the more it stands out to people!

My style advice would be to go for it and let your personality shine through your clothes! As soon as I saw this sweater, I know I should pair it with pink pants. I pulled out my amazing pink dress pants from T's Closet.

I love these pants for several reasons - they fit me so well, the color is a beautiful pink that is so wearable, it is a statement while still able to look very professional. I wore these pants for my final presentation of my research project with a black top and it was a very well put-together look.

Who says pink can't be professional?

I'm all for showcasing who I am through my style!

What I love about these pants is how versatile they are. Pairing them with this pom-pom sweater is such a playful look.

Another way you could style this sweater would be by adding a bottom-up underneath and having the colors pop out the top! I love a great layered look like that! I could also see this sweater working well with a flowy shirt!

What do you think? Are you down for the pom-pom sweaters? If you end up trying this style be sure to tag me because I would love to see it!

My favorite outfits are pretty simple with some kind of statement, whether it is the pop of color with the pink blazer or the form fitting high waisted brown pants, I like to have timeless pieces in my closet that I can wear again and again and still make it look like a new outfit. This way of styling my clothes has allowed me to be complimented on my style without shopping every season!

Since we've ben staying in, I have gravitated more and more to comfortable first clothing and all my outfits are super comfortable to wear all day long. In fact, my dressier pants are way more wearable than my jeans! So sometimes it's not about thinking about clothes as "oh this is a dress pant's I need to save this for special occasions" but more so think about how the clothes make you feel and how you can dress it up or down depending on what you pair it with - such as a pom pom sweater!

I hope you all enjoyed this blog post and gained a little style inspiration. Be sure to follow me on Instagram to see more reels and posts and daily outfits of the day on my stories! It was so fun getting back to the roots of this blog and talking about fashion with you all today!

Hope you have a lovely rest of the day,

xoxo,

Kye
